IT Teacher Wanted – 3D Virtual Worlds

Changchun American International School (CAIS – www.caischina.org) is looking for a PYP/MYP IT Teacher who’s interested in 3D virtual worlds!

CAIS is one of the few international school pioneers in utilizing 3D virtual worlds. We have a cybercampus in Second Life and also maintain presences behind our firewall as well as via ReactionGrid. Experience with 3D virtual world technology is preferred but not essential. Interest…or rather ENTHUSIASM…is required! You’ll be working with Dr. David W. Deeds, training to take over the IT Manager/Teacher position within a year.

CAIS is a PreK-12 IBO World School located in northeast China. The school is authorized to offer IBO’s Diploma Program and is a candidate school for the Middle Years Program. Changchun is located 1.5 hours by air from Beijing, Vladivostok, Seoul, Dalian and Qingdao.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates with a regionally or nationally recognized BA/BS and teaching qualification with at least 2 years of international school experience teaching subject content to students with multiple levels of language ability. There is a strong preference for instructors currently in Asia, or North East Asia, or with Asian experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with IBO training/experience and/or certification and/or a masters degree or above are strongly preferred. Fluent English is a requirement.
